Trending Now Thursday

Hello everyone,

Happy Thursday!!

Before i'll show you my card for today,a little update about my daughter's trip to the Netherlands! :)
She had a wonderful time!!! We got to talk everyday, send many messages back and forth!! And many times, she told me she wanns to come home, she just missed us a lot, since she wasn't away from us for so long!! And yes,i wished many times, that she'de be here with us too,so i wouldn't have to worry to much! But,i kept telling her that she should enjoy every single second of this trip, because soon she'de be home and she wished she would be back in the Netherlands.Guess what, she didn't believe me!! ;) BUT it happend! Every day,she tells me that she wanns to go back, she wanns to be on the ocean and the boat...i knew it!! hehe She bought me the most beautiful little gift...a Snow globe with a lighthouse inside ( the landmark from Techelling in the Netherlands ),which switches lights when you turn it on!! I kept telling her,not to buy us anything,i wanted her to spend the money for herself and not us! BUT,she didn't get anything for herself...only for us!! She is a wonderful girl...love her so much! I'll be posting pics as soon as she puts her pics on the computer!! Ooops long story...sorry!!! :/

Ok,now here is my card for Trending Now over at My Creative Time!!
The theme is Monogram it!! Us a letter as the focus!!
I think i've never done a Monogram card before. But the first thing that came into my mind was a M...M for Mom! So this card will be for my sweet Mom!

I die cut a panel with Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies + More and layered it ontop of a piece of red cardstock! Then i die cut many little m's using the Lowercase Fun Dies also out of white cardstock and glued it them on the stitched panel! After that i die cut a piece of red cardstock and white cardstock with Bunch of Stitched Doily Dies! I used some normal red sewing threat and glued it underneath the doilies. Then i die cut a little m again out of red cardstock, glued it in the center of the circle and put some wink of stella on top of it!
First i thought, this was it...but it just didn't look right for me! So i decided to use one of the pretty flowers from the Love You Bunches Set,colored it with Spectrum Noir Makers and glued it between the two doilies! And at the end i stamped the sentiment ( also from Love you Bunches ) on the inisde of the card and added some sequins!!

Emma and some more girls from this awesome Team created beautiful projects for you today,so make sure to stop by Emma's Blog and check them out!!!

Thank you so much for stopping by!!!

Glad your daughter had a wonderful time on her trip and arrived home again safe and sound. I love your card! The m's for the background is a fabulous idea. The flower and sequins were just the right touch. Great job.

What a wonderful story about your daughter; she sounds like such a gem, especially in choosing to buy gifts for others rather than herself! A generous, positive spirit, that girl of yours! Your card: oh my, Cindy! Elegant and classy! Love the monogram; love the flower! WOW!
