Freshly Made Sketches #180

Hello everyone,

Happy Wednesday!!!

I hope everyone is having a great day!!
We are prety busy here at the moment,we are remodeling out kids's rooms!! Jamie's room ( our 15 year old ) is almost done, she is waiting for her make up table and mirror from Ikea, but Emily's ( our 10 year old ),her room is a hot mess!!! BOY,i knew she had a lot of stuff, but i had NO idea it would be THAT much! Our complete place is full with her stuff! She wanns to get rid of everything...furniture,toys,books...just everything!! She is ready for a teenager room! ;) So,yesterday we removed everything, today we are painting her walls and her new furniture will get it tomorrow!!
Sorry for hardly leaving comments at the moment. The kids are here on their Spring Holidays, plus the remodeling thing now!

Ok,on to our new Challenge at Freshly Made Sketches!!
Our host this week is the very...very sweet and creative Jennifer Timko!
I love her Sketch!  Great design!!

I did some watercoloring on my top panel using shabby shutters and mowed lawn distress inks.Than i die cut a circle out of vellum and glued the half of it to my top panel.Than i cut a small strip and sponged it very lightly with mowed lawn and cut banner shapes to both sides!
At the end i stamped two of these cute apples, added some wink of stella and glossy accents, stamped the sentiment and glued down some little gems!

I can't believe all the work you've been doing! I bet that Jamie and Emily are thrilled to get their new bedrooms! And amid all the chaos you still find time to create the most amazing cards! Your water colored background is just the sort of thing that I want to do. And I just love your little apples!

Hi Cindy, just popping by to say thank you so much for choosing my card over at the Card Concept. It really made my day.
Your card is gorgeous. I love the pop of those apples against that pretty, soft watercolouring.

This is such a clever take on the sketch, Cindy! The watercoloring looks fabulous and the vellum half circle is a great touch.

With all the work you've been doing, you must be exhausted, yet you still manage to turn out simply marvelous cards! Your apples here: love, love and love! So amazing! Maybe, once things are settled down, you can give us a tutorial on how you make these fantastical water-coloured backgrounds (video, or even photos of the process). I've given up even trying, but with your guidance, I might be convinced to give it another go! As for commenting: don't you worry your pretty head about that! Family comes first: always!
