Show Me Your Technique

Hello everyone,

I would like to thank each and everyone for your sweet and nice comments on Thursday ( Halloween Blog Hop ) !! :)

Today,i would like to welcome you to my first Show Me Your Technique!! :)

You also wanne check out Cheryl and Cindy B and their great Techniques!!

This wasn't very easy for me,since i don't have a special thechnique in my craftings! ;) I just cut my papers...glue everything together, and put on some ribbons...rhinestones and yes, that's about it! haha
But i thought of something that i used to love to make before i became a card maker...when it was all about Layout's and Books.I used to love making my own buttons out of Polymer Clay.
And you can also use Emma's dies and stamps to create them! :)
Many pics to follow now... ( sorry )

For the first button i used 4 different Polymer Clay colors and swirled them,so they kind of would look like a lollipop at the end.
To create this, you need a white thicker base piece and roll 3 different colors of your choice and attach the to the white one.

Now you just need to roll and roll...and when it starts to get thinner you will need to start twisting a little...
So it will start to look like this
and now, just roll it together, until you have your button as big or as small as you'll like
Add two holes ( i did after i took the photo ),bake it and ready to use!

I used Emma's ( My Creative Time ) Flower Petal Dies for my next one
Just roll your piece of Clay and press the die into it...not to hard though,so it won't stick to it and cut around the edges and add two holes

For my next one i have used one of Emma's background stamp from the Build a Banner Kit
to give it a little texture

Here is a picture after they where baked.Baked Polymer Clay is hard, kind of like plastic! ( I made a few more, that i didn't show )
The leaf to the right was made using Emma's leaf die from her Piles of Smiles
And on the blue one,i have also one of her background stamps from the Build a Banner Kit

And last but not least,a card where i used the Clay Heart Button and Emma's Tag Dies, From Our Family To Yours Stamp Set and Warm Holiday Fun

Sorry again for the many photos!!

Thank you for stopping by!! :)

Have a great day,
Cindy

I don't know why you are apologizing for how you make cards, no special techniques and too many pictures. Your cards have been beautiful and creative...your pictures are very good and explain a lot...Your button ideas are very special buttons. I get the feeling the rolled stripe is not as easy as it looks and I have the clay that I have not tried yet. You have inspired me to give this a try. You could even use these on garments or make a pin with them. Great job and technique!
